The Institute of Textile Science (ITS) invites students to present their research and development work in textiles, textile-based and related materials science. Students can choose to participate in an oral or poster presentation. This opportunity is available to current college and university (Bachelor, Master, Ph.D.) students, as well as recent graduates (2026) and current postdoctoral fellows. The 2027 Symposium will take place in-person in Edmonton, Montreal and Raleigh, as well as virtually.

ABSTRACT SUBMISSION
Information to be included in your submission (Word document):

Contact information for the primary presenter, institution, level of degree, discipline, presentation title, list of authors, and an extended abstract of about 500 words, including an introduction, materials & methods, results & discussion, and conclusion.

Submission deadline: January 20, 2027 @ 6 pm EST

*Presentations will be 10 minutes in length, and preference will be given to students who did not present at the previous Symposium. Abstracts not selected for oral presentation may present as posters.
**Poster presentations will be in person in Montreal, Edmonton, or Raleigh. Presenters must provide a 3-minute video highlighting their work to invite attendees to visit their poster.
